Default Is Marlboro affiliated with the KKK?

OK, now I know what I'm about to talk about is probably all stuff you know, but this is all new to me and my friend was explaining it to me today. So, my question is: Is it true that Marlboro is a "KKK cigarette"?

My friend pointed out something about the two horses with the crowns on the pack of marlboros. He said that if you look carefully, you can see two hooded klansmen carrying a banner or something like that. I personally have not been able to catch it, but my friend swears that he sees it

Even if Marlboro was in any way affiliated with them, I highly doubt that they would display their alliance on the front of the pack. I call BS.

I hope your friend was joking. I can't imagine Marlboros being connected with the KKK. Although it's true Marlboro is the most popular brand for White smokers.....Marb Reds and Marb Lights in particular.

I hope if any KKK membas smoke, they actually smoke Marlboro. lol

I can imagine Philip Morris being connected with them. I can imagine the "K" being started by people at PM but, when I look at a pack of Marlboros, I can see your intolerant friend being beat down like a seal pup by black people wearing hoods

Default Marlboro and the KKK

This rumor is an old one and has to do with the ‘subliminal’ three K’s on the pack itself. The chevroning on the white background that forms two jutting arms of the capital letter “k” when the pack is tipped on the side. This appears on three surfaces of the pack (front, back and one of the sides) so people assume this could read as 3 K’s resulting in a huge stretch to think Marlboro was ever involved in the KKK.
