Have you guys heard/tried one of these?? I don't excatly know how these work but these are like fake cigs which has chips in it which gives the smoker the same taste of tobacco and tar found in cigarettes. If you're trying to quit smoking, I gues this will help. I don't know, but i won't try them or get close to them in 1000 years!

I'm not aware of this particular brand. There are dozens of manufacturers that have sprung up and hundreds of affiliate sites. The one I tried was the same size as a king-sized cigarette and had nicotine modules that you load into it. Each module lasted about as long as ten cigarettes would last and it came with 50 of the modules. I had to draw excessively hard on it to get an exhale that was comparable to an exhale from my regular tobacco brand. Also, the exhale is steam NOT smoke and there is no tobacco smell. I used this inside a UPS store which is a no-smoking business. The clerk there reminded me smoking is not allowed. I told him this is not smoke - it is steam and the clerk shut his mouth and I continued to use the device. I may use this if and when I decide to quit smoking. I think I could quit cigarettes by using this. It is so similiar to the real thing. There is nicotine delivery but, there is no tar. Pretty cool

People around here is using them plastic cigs as a substitute sos they can quit smoking the real thing. THey still going to have the addiction of holding the thing in the hand though and getting the nicotine hit. I heard the steam from the inhale breaks up the tar in you lungs. Is that true?

The e-cigarette is a joke. Its just another gimmick for us to waste our money on. If you got to quit so bad, use a nic patch or go cold turkey. I bet it was invented in China. Just another phoney product from them. Probably something wrong with it like with the chinese toys and dog food.

So I was at the mall this weekend and they had one of those kiosk's set up selling electronic cigarettes, I was intrigued. The guy took a puff and a little smoke came out. He said they deliver the same amount of nicotine and were for people to stop smoking. I'm like, what? I'd like this so I can sit at my job and puff all day long. The catch? $129 for the cigarette and some re-fills. What a rip-off! I searched online and found them cheaper (@ $50 for the system).

Has anyone tried these? I might get it online and check it out but I'd love to know if this actually curbs your desire to smoke a regular cigarette.

based on my experience smoking for the past 20 some odd years, there ain't a damn thing that makes you want to smoke any less....I know people that have quit for 30 years and still say they ache for a cigarette, but they just don't have one...it is one tough habit to kick! but give the electronic cigarette a shot and tell us if it is worth a try...but $129 bucks is a lot!

by the way, where did you find it online for $50 and how many times do you have to refill in a week if you smoke half a pack a day?

Yeah, i agree. This e-cigarettes is a costly piece of gizmo. Howver, if you are one of those who is tryin' to quit or thinking about quitting, I think this will actually help a lot! BTW I had created a thread regarding this e-cigs here http://cigreviews.com/forums/general-smokers-discussion/38-gamucci-micro-electronic-cigarettes.html

Maybe admin should combine these threads?

How does this thing work exactly? Does it have its own "tobacco" loaded in it? Can you load your own tobacco?

no tobacco involved Jester, it's some sort of replaceable filter and, of course, they hook you there too.
